We are currently dealing with a combined Energy & Cost and living crisis. As many people look now to their elected representatives to ease their finances, we have found out that a good number of MPs & Lords either receive dividends or sit on boards of all major energy companies. Currently, there is no need to disclose this to parliament unless you have a shareholding of over 15%!

We started a petition with www.Change.Org to campaign for transparency from our elected officials about their dealing with Energy Companies.

So Far, our petition has reached almost 100,000 signatures showing clear public support for greater clarity from our representatives. If you too would like to sign our petition, just click here.

This is not limited to one political party or one house in parliament but a wide spread systemic problem where shareholders awaiting a cash dividend are deciding how your taxes can be used as a windfall tax for energy companies.
